Job Description

Purpose of the Role-ü IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) at GIFT City is the only Foreign Branch YES Bank has. Through this branch, Bank’s business in foreign currency e.g. FC bonds/loans to Indian/foreign companies, FCY institutional borrowings and FCY deposit raising from individuals/foreign corporates is done. Therefore, to that extent, IBU holds very important position from overall Bank’s perspective. IBU is governed by RBI (as home country regulator) and IFSCA (as host country regulator). The position requires to undertake business development activities on behalf of IBU branch, source NTB clients for IBU within and outside IFSC, generate additional business from existing relationships.ü To actively pursue business opportunities and engage in cross-selling of financial products.ü Deal with various business units, external stakeholders like regulator/peer Banks, control and support functions of the Bank, and work towards business development and achieve business/revenue targets fixed for the Branch.ü Engage with relationship team spread over the across various YBL locations and explore new business opportunities and enable deal conversions.

Strategy & Planning

  • Client Acquisition (NTB): Source new-to-bank (NTB) Asset and Liability clients.
  • Achieve business/revenue targets fixed for the unit.
  • Identify opportunities through market intelligence, references, and industry networking.
  • Manage and deepen relationship within the existing client portfolio. Regular engagement with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Drive potential opportunities and ensure quick response on the deal structure and other queries that meets regulatory requirements and internal guidelines by way of initiating discussions with Business Risk Compliance Product Legal and External Counsel and other internal External stake holders for the closure of the deal.
  • Build healthy relationship with internal stake holders for generating more business for the unit.
  • To ensure that the branch business strategies are aligned with the Bank strategy.
  • To ensure that the Bank’s promise is delivered to the client in a timely, professional and cost-efficient manner.

Education

Essential: Graduation in Finance.

Preferred: Post Graduation in Finance

Experience

Essential: 10+ years of experience in Banking.
