Job Description

Role Overview

Retail

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement

    strategic

    business

    plans and lead generation strategies

    to penetrate the Indian retail market, achieve growth targets, and expand market presence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities through

    prospecting, networking, and market research

    .
  • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions in collaboration with

    pre-sales and technical teams

    .
  • Work closely with the

    Market Research team

    to identify emerging trends and assess the competitive landscape.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to design and execute effective

    promotional campaigns

    and support the preparation of marketing materials.
  • Create and deliver impactful

    presentations, proposals, and contracts

    alongside pre-sales teams.
  • Align with

    Japan HQ

    on overall business strategy, oversee contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on business development strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics to evaluate the success of business initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of all business development activities with the companys overall objectives.
  • Support the development of proposals and presentations for prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of overall experience

    with at least:
    • 5 years in sales, business development, or account management.
    • 2+ years specifically in business development or sales within the

      Retail vertical

      .
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Base Location: Bangalore, but flexible to travel.
