Exp- 8-10 years of experience in solar industry tendering,

government liaison, or business development.

Role- Business Development Manager -Tendering & Govt Projects (Focus -Railways & Defense )

Key Responsibilities :

Tendering & Bid Management

• Manage the complete lifecycle of government and PSU solar tendersfrom opportunity identification to submission and award.

• Analyze tender documents, eligibility criteria, and technical/commercial requirements.

• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, sales) to prepare compliant and competitive bids.

• Respond to clarifications, amendments, and ensure all deadlines are met.

Government & Regulatory Liaison

• Build and sustain strong relationships with MNRE, SECI, DISCOMs, NTPC, and state nodal agencies.

• Engage with authorities to influence and align specifications with company products and solutions.

• Ensure company empanelment, vendor registrations, and compliance with PSU/government norms.

• Track policies, subsidy schemes, and regulatory developments impacting solar projects.

Strategic Positioning & Business Development

• Anticipate upcoming tenders and proactively prepare company positioning.

• Benchmark competition and ensure value differentiation in bids.

• Work with leadership to define tender participation strategy, pricing models, and win themes.

• Support contract finalization and negotiation on technical and commercial terms.

Key Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of solar PV technologies, EPC business, and PSU tendering processes.

• Proven track record of winning large-scale government tenders in solar/renewables.

• Strong networking and liaison skills with govt. stakeholders and decision-makers.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail in tender documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical / Mechanical / Energy Engineering / Science (Essential).

• MBA Desirable.
