The candidate shall operationalize the Business Development strategy for all verticals of Sambodhi.
Essential Functions:
• Independently take ownership from lead stage to commissioning of opportunities
• Independently respond to requests for proposal (RfPs) and expressions of interest (EoIs) from potential clients
• Engage with potential clients – prepare and deliver presentations of proposals, track submitted bids and analyse reasons for success and failure
• Identify bidding and business opportunities for all verticals through web and other publicly accessible sources. Develop opportunities with new and existing clients, track upcoming RFPs, lead proposal development teams, etc.
• Evaluate bidding and business opportunities for all verticals
• Identify intelligence indicators and map potential competitors for specific bids and in broader sectoral landscape
• Gather intelligence on potential leads and actively pursue for subsequent conversion to opportunities and commissioning
• Assist in contract negotiations
• Apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains
• Take lead in scouting, shortlisting and selecting individuals and organizations for potential partnerships on bid-specific or general basis
• Liaison with partner organizations, consultants, vendors and other relevant agencies
• Develop and update organizational collaterals e.g. capability documents, resumes, project description sheets, etc.
• Help create space and ensuring visibility of the organization at relevant public events/workshops/seminars
• Help create avenues for dialogue with print and electronic media
• Actively meet potential partners, clients on a regular basis

3-7 years of progressively responsible experience in the development sector or Monitoring & Evaluation domains
• Thematic understanding of various sectors in the social and development domain
• Proven influencer and communicator with senior stakeholders within and outside the organization
• Flair for building quality relationships with clients at all levels upto the CxO level
• High level of involvement, engagement and ownership
• Willingness to travel
• Strong time management skill and ability to prioritise
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to understand, appreciate & establish processes as needed
