Job Description

Business Development Associate Interns


Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive outreach to prospective customers and partners via calls, emails, and virtual meetings to generate and convert leads.
  • Clearly communicate Surya Sangam’s value proposition, explaining our platform’s features and benefits in a compelling, customer-focused manner.
  • Qualify, follow up with, and nurture leads to move them through the sales funnel toward successful onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions, follow-ups, and conversions using spreadsheets or CRM tools.
  • Provide excellent pre-sales support and act as the customer’s first point of contact for questions about the platform.
  • Share market feedback, lead insights, and customer pain points with the team to improve sales strategy and messaging.
  • Participate in

    training sessions

    designed to strengthen your sales skills, platform knowledge, and understanding of the clean energy industry.


Qualifications

  • Must be

    currently enrolled

    in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program in any discipline.
  • Strong

    spoken and written communication skills

    in

    both Hindi and English

    .
  • Confidence and ability to engage with potential customers and partners professionally over calls and virtual meetings.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset with a willingness to meet outreach and conversion targets.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup while managing time and priorities effectively.
  • A genuine interest in

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in sales, business development, outreach, customer service, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with lead management tools, CRMs, Google Sheets, or other tracking software.
