Surya Sangam is looking for energetic, persuasive, and results-oriented Business Development Associate Interns for a 12-week, fully remote (Paid/Un-paid) internship . This is a sales-focused role where you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers and partners, conducting outreach, managing leads, and converting them into users of Surya Sangam’s platform and services. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support , equipping you with the skills you need to succeed in sales—and deep industry knowledge about India’s fast-growing clean energy sector . Responsibilities Conduct proactive outreach to prospective customers and partners via calls, emails, and virtual meetings to generate and convert leads. Clearly communicate Surya Sangam’s value proposition, explaining our platform’s features and benefits in a compelling, customer-focused manner. Qualify, follow up with, and nurture leads to move them through the sales funnel toward successful onboarding. Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions, follow-ups, and conversions using spreadsheets or CRM tools. Provide excellent pre-sales support and act as the customer’s first point of contact for questions about the platform. Share market feedback, lead insights, and customer pain points with the team to improve sales strategy and messaging. Participate in training sessions designed to strengthen your sales skills, platform knowledge, and understanding of the clean energy industry. Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program in any discipline. Strong spoken and written communication skills in both Hindi and English . Confidence and ability to engage with potential customers and partners professionally over calls and virtual meetings. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset with a willingness to meet outreach and conversion targets. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup while managing time and priorities effectively. A genuine interest in sales , clean energy , and contributing to meaningful environmental impact. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in sales, business development, outreach, customer service, or related roles. Familiarity with lead management tools, CRMs, Google Sheets, or other tracking software. Exposure to social impact initiatives, NGO campaigns, or sustainability projects.
