Hiring Alert: Business Development Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy professionals to join our team as Business Development Engineer in Pune, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will have experience in all stages of the sales cycle. They should be confident with building new client relationship and maintaining existing ones. They should have evidence of strong skills and possess good negotiation skills.

  • Experience

    : 2-3 years in Engineering Services in Industrial Automation domain.
  • Background

    : Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Skills

    : Passion for driving business growth, excellent communication, and a knack for building client relationships. Positive mindset and career focussed personality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 3+ years in sales industry
  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing Demonstrated sales success
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • CRM experience is preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with prospective clients
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing clients
  • Manage sales pipeline
  • Analyze market and establish competitive advantages
  • Track metrics to ensure targets are hit

Lead Generation

  • Research and identify potential B2B clients across industries and geographies.
  • Generate high-quality leads via LinkedIn, email marketing, freelance portals (Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr), cold calling, and web scraping tools.
  • Maintain and update lead databases (CRM, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Qualify leads based on budget, timeline, decision-making ability, and need.

Pre-Sales

  • Coordinate with business development teams to pitch tailored solutions.
  • Prepare client-focused presentations, proposals, and capability documents.
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs with accurate technical inputs.
  • Collaborate with managers and technical teams on scope, timelines, and effort estimates.
  • Set up meetings, demos, and discovery call for sales/technical teams.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in lead generation or pre-sales roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, etc.), Google Sheets, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Basic understanding of sales hunting and farming principles. Learning attitude
  • Willingness to undergo background checks.
  • Travel required
