Business Development Executive

Experience Level: 3-5 Years

Location: Powai, Mumbai (Work from office only)

Preference: Education Industry (Higher Education, EdTech, Coaching Institutes, or K-12 Institutions)


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executives with a strong background in the education industry, preferably with experience in overseas education admissions or international student recruitment. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the student enrolment process, drive admission strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize recruitment efforts. This role requires expertise in student counselling, marketing collaboration, and end-to-end admissions operations.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute admission strategies to achieve enrolment targets in alignment with institutional goals.

• Oversee the end-to-end admissions process, ensuring a seamless experience from inquiry to enrolment.

• Counsel prospective students and parents, providing insights into academic programs, eligibility, and career prospects, with a focus on international admissions.

• Build strong relationships with schools, colleges, educational consultants, and international recruitment agencies to drive student applications.

• Conduct information sessions, open houses, and campus tours to enhance engagement. • Work closely with marketing and outreach teams to optimize lead generation and conversion.

• Utilize CRM and admission management systems to track applications and generate performance reports.

• Stay updated on global education trends, visa policies, and international admission requirements. • Handle admission-related inquiries, grievances, and escalations, ensuring a positive applicant experience.

• Lead and mentor a team of admission counsellors, providing training and performance oversight.


Educational Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

• 5-8 years of experience in admissions, student recruitment, or enrolment management within the education sector, preferably with experience in overseas education admissions or international student recruitment.

• Strong understanding of admissions processes, student lifecycle management, and academic program positioning.

• Familiarity with international student application procedures, visa requirements, and foreign university partnerships is highly preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and institutional partners effectively.

• Experience with CRM tools and admission tracking software is a plus.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and meet enrolment targets.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 3+ years in sales industry
  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing Demonstrated sales success
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • CRM experience is preferred
