Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Executive (Projects)

Job Summary

Business Development Executive

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in

    Government, PSU, Smart City, Infrastructure, IT, and Solar sectors

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, consultants, system integrators, and channel partners
  • Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and industry events
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and project estimates in coordination with technical teams
  • Support negotiations and assist in closing project deals

Tender & Proposal Support

  • Track

    tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs

    from Government and private portals
  • Coordinate internal inputs for technical, commercial, and compliance documentation
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and manage post-bid clarifications and follow-ups

Client & Project Coordination

  • Serve as a point of contact during pre-sales and project initiation phases
  • Coordinate with engineering, software, solar, and operations teams to align solutions
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to execution teams

Market Research & Reporting

  • Analyze market trends in

    ITS, Smart Traffic, IT Services, Solar, and Infrastructure

  • Study competitors and emerging technologies
  • Maintain CRM records and prepare sales MIS reports

Services Portfolio Exposure (Preferred)

  • Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) & Advanced Traffic Management
  • Toll, Parking, ANPR, AI Traffic Counting & Vehicle Tracking Systems
  • Customized Software, Mobile Apps, API & Data Analytics Solutions
  • Network & IT Infrastructure
  • Solar Systems (Rooftop, LED, Blinkers, Road Studs)
  • Highway Lighting, Fabrication & Engineering Projects
  • Staff Augmentation & HR Outsourcing
  • Supply Chain & Material Trading

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Engineering, IT, Business Administration, or related field

  • MBA (Sales / Marketing) preferred

Experience & Skills

  • 2–6 years of experience

    in

    B2B / Project Sales / Business Development

  • Experience in

    Government tenders, EPC projects, or system integration

    preferred
  • Understanding of

    ITS, IT solutions, Solar, or Infrastructure projects

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand technical and commercial documentation
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and proposal preparation

  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel as per project and client requirements
