Job Description

🔹 About the Role

Business Development Executive

FOB, CIP, and CIF terms

air freight, sea freight, temperature-controlled transport, customs clearance, and multimodal logistics

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and onboard

    pharma manufacturers, exporters, and global buyers

    (USA, EU, LATAM, Africa, SEA, Middle East).
  • Pitch IRC’s export capabilities:
  • Air & Sea Freight (FCL/LCL)

  • Temperature-controlled logistics

  • Customs clearance (own CHA license)

  • Documentation support for DG lines and pharma compliances

  • TEILS – Live Shipment Visibility & Analytics

  • Generate leads through market research, cold outreach, visits, and industry events.
  • Build a strong opportunity pipeline and deliver monthly revenue targets.

Client Engagement & Solutions

  • Understand client requirements for

    APIs, formulations, bulk drugs, medical consumables

    exports.
  • Propose customized solutions for:
  • Route planning
  • Freight optimization
  • Load planning
  • Compliance documentation
  • Coordinate internally with operations, pricing, and customs teams.

Market & Industry Mapping

  • Track freight rate trends, competitor patterns, and regulatory updates from CDSCO, FDA, EMA, etc.
  • Identify high-volume clusters:

    Hyderabad, Baddi, Ahmedabad, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai

Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain updated records of all leads and interactions.
  • Prepare weekly progress reports for management.

🔹 Requirements

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Pharma, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • 2–6 years experience

    in logistics / freight forwarding / pharma supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of

    overseas logistics operations.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
