BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking is a globally recognized leader offering capital markets, securities services, financing, treasury and advisory solutions.The market abuse surveillance IT team is performing surveillance for all investments activities:These are global, Front-to-back, cross asset class projects with many dependencies and a matrix of stakeholders across the globe, to detect trading activity that could harmfully affect clients and/or Markets, and cause reputational damage to the Bank.This role is with GM IT- Regulatory IT – Conduct, Control and Surveillance team. It provides services to Compliance functions within BNP Paribas CIB. We are beginning our Surveillance transformation journey. NAPosition PurposeWe work in partnership with numerous global stakeholders across the businesses, surveillance and compliance, developments and security teams and other functions to meet new regulatory requirements, changes in business strategy and emerging risks within the Bank.We work on expanding the coverage and effectiveness of our existing surveillance capabilities, using innovative technology and the trade surveillance markets standards that are NICE Actimize and SMARTSWe are required to respond to many demanding regulator-driven requirements whilst trying to transform how we perform surveillance and respond to pressure from internal control and audit groups.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
-  Specifications writing and Establishing gap analysis
-  Facilitate business requirements by working closely with key stakeholders to analyze problem(s) to be addressed and ensure clear and complete understanding of requirements before producing functional specification and interacting with development teams.
-  Take ownership of any improvements or new controls, whilst being fully supported by management and fellow team members.
-  Take direct responsibility for the coordination of any project from the initial workshop though the sign-off from stakeholders.
-  Liaise with global stakeholders and IT entities (US, Paris, India)
-  Development monitoring and management with IT/QA (Offshore teams)
-  Monitoring and management of UATs with global stakeholders
 
Contributing Responsibilities
-  Publishing/contributing necessary details for Project committees.
-  Skilling up resources and knowledge transfer.
 
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Working experience in Financial Markets & Trading Platforms (FI & Equity products), Trade Life Cycle and familiarity with underlying data.
- Understanding of Front Office/Middle Office/ Back office functions.
- Sufficient knowledge in SQL to retrieve and analyze data.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills - Understand and efficiently analyze information/requirements from multiple sources.
- Experience in writing BRDs and FSDs

Specific Qualifications (if Required)
-  Hands on experience in data analysis for different asset classes (Equities / FI/ Commodities / FX / Derivatives) is necessary.
