Job Description

We are looking for a mid-level Business Analyst with proven experience in the travel industry, particularly in airline systems, and working knowledge of HRIS tools. The ideal candidate will not only understand travel workflows and airline system integrations but will also have a strong grasp of HR processes and systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless travel and HR solutions for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to air travel systems (GDS/NDC/LCC) and HRIS tools
  • Translate business needs into user stories and functional specifications for development teams
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, testers, and UX designers to deliver high-quality travel and HR solutions
  • Support airline API integrations (GDS, NDC, LCC) and fare/ticketing logic implementation
  • Work with HR teams to understand employee lifecycle processes (hire-to-retire, onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions)
  • Create process flow diagrams, data mapping, and wireframes for both travel and HR-related workflows
  • Conduct impact analysis, root cause analysis, and gap assessments across travel and HR domains
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT support
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for air booking engines, pricing engines, ancillary services, and HRIS systems

Required Skills

  • 35 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the travel domain (preferably airline systems)
  • Working knowledge of GDSs (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo), NDC, and LCC APIs
  • Understanding of PNR lifecycle, ticketing, fare rules, SSRs, and ancillary services
  • Familiarity with HRIS tools (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday, ADP) and HR processes
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, leave management, benefits administration, and compliance requirements
  • Strong documentation skills: BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, and flow diagrams
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology
  • Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Postman, Lucidchart/Draw.io, and MS Office
  • Basic SQL skills for data querying and validation

Good to Have

  • Experience working with B2B/B2C travel portals or corporate travel systems
  • Exposure to API testing and documentation (travel and HR APIs)
  • IATA/NDC certification or HRIS tool certification is a plus
