About the Role

ANCONS International LLC is seeking a motivated Bioinformatics Intern with a strong academic background in bioinformatics to support ongoing projects in biomedical data science, genomics, and healthcare informatics. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world datasets, AI-driven analytics, and international collaborations in healthcare and biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis of genomics, proteomics, and biomedical datasets.
• Support pipeline development for sequence alignment, annotation, and variant analysis.
• Apply bioinformatics tools, statistical methods, and databases to address project-specific research questions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in healthcare data science and AI-driven biomedical research.
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and presentation of project results.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in bioinformatics, computational biology, and healthcare AI applications.

Qualifications

• Required: MSc in Bioinformatics (completed or final-year student).
• Strong understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and computational biology concepts.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics databases (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl, UniProt) and tools (BLAST, Clustal, etc.).
• Basic experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
• Exposure to next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative teams.
