JOB DESCRIPTION FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

Our rapidly growing company is looking for a motivated Business Development Officer to Develop & Implement growth strategic for the achievement of revenue goals. And responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and contributing to revenue growth. This role requires strong sales, marketing, and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of the construction industry and market trends.

Responsibilities:

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities:

This includes researching potential clients, attending industry events, and actively seeking out new leads.

· Build and maintain client relationships:

Developing strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including architects, contractors, developers, and project managers, is crucial for securing business.

· Develop and implement sales strategies:

Creating and executing plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share.

· Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals:

Communicating the company's value proposition and tailoring solutions to meet client needs.

· Monitor market trends and competition:

Staying informed about industry developments and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.

· Collaborate with other departments:

Working with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient project execution.

· Achieve sales targets and revenue goals:

Meeting or exceeding assigned sales quotas and contributing to the company's overall financial performance.

· Manage and mentor sales teams:

Providing guidance, training, and support to other sales personnel.

· Track and report on sales activities:

Maintaining accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales progress using CRM software.

Required Skills:

· Sales and Marketing:

Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related field with a strong track record of success.

· Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence clients.

· Negotiation and Persuasion:

The ability to negotiate favourable terms and conditions with clients and close deals.

· Strategic Thinking:

The capacity to develop and implement effective sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.

· Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyse market data, identify trends, and assess the competitive landscape.

· Project Management:

The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

· Technical Understanding:

A basic understanding of construction materials, processes, and industry standards.

· CRM Proficiency:

Familiarity with CRM software for managing customer interactions and tracking project status.

· Travel Flexibility:

Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

· Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the sales process.

· Teamwork and Collaboration:

The ability to work effectively with other team members and departments.

In addition to the core responsibilities and skills, a successful Business Development Officer in the materials and construction industry may also have:

  • Experience in the specific product area: For example, experience in concrete technology, aluminium formwork, or building materials.
  • Strong network of contacts: Relationships with key decision-makers in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards: Understanding of building codes and industry best practices.
  • Ability to manage a sales team: Experience in leading and motivating a team of sales professionals.
  • Fluency in relevant languages: Depending on the geographic area, fluency in languages other than English may be required.
  • Qualification:
  • Bachelors’ degree in marking in a business role.

  • The ability to travel to meet client, attend conference & research new markets as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
