About The Role

Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs and backend services.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architectures.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
• Work with both SQL & NoSQL databases – schema design, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end feature development.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Stay updated with modern backend technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask) and Node.js (Express/NestJS).
• In-depth understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and message queues.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Solid understanding of security best practices (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

Good to Have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of caching techniques (Redis, Memcached).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
