Azure Cloud Architect

Job Summary:

Client is looking for Azure Cloud Architect, and this is remote position from India.

Responsibilities:

• Review the Buyer’s Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and key services against Microsoft’s Azure Security Benchmark and best FinOps practices
• Provide prioritized, risk-based remediation recommendations aligned to industry best practices
• Analyze the security, infrastructure, and connectivity of Azure services supporting workloads
• Deliver a risk-based, actionable set of recommendations aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, IEC 62443, CIS Benchmarks) tailored to both Buyer’s CSS[JM1] risk profiles.
• Develop a high-level multiphase actionable roadmap, for strengthening security posture and optimizing cloud architecture over the next 1-6 & 12–18 months.
• Conduct workshops, guided sessions, and/or document review with Buyer teams to transfer knowledge and build operational confidence in managing infrastructure and cloud-native security.

Experience:

Discovery & Data Collection

• Kick off with stakeholder interviews (security, networking, operations, DevOps).
• Inventory Azure tenants, subscriptions, resource groups, and connectivity diagrams.
• Gather existing documentation, policies, and any previous assessment reports.

Technical Assessment

• Automated scanning via Azure Security Center, Azure Advisor, and third-party tools (e.g., Primsa)
• Manual deep dive into critical assets, network flows, and firewall/NVA rulesets.
• Inspect cloud access paths. Threat modeling[JM1] on IT boundary.
• Validate identity flows and conditional access policies.
• Perform simulated threat-model walkthroughs for high-risk segments[JM2] .
• Review CNAPP

Analysis & Roadmap Development

• Synthesize findings into risk-ranked categories (Critical, High, Medium, Low).
• Develop remediation playbooks for critical and high gaps (e.g., NSG rule cleanup, Secure Hub configuration).
• Draft a phased, cost-sensitive roadmap for security hardening and network optimization.

Reporting & Knowledge Transfer

• Finalize and present the written Assessment Report, Executive Summary deck, and Remediation Roadmap.
• Conduct a tailored enablement session with stakeholders
• Team coaching and knowledge transfer sessions beyond initial workshop, including any documentation created
• On-demand advisory hours for architectural or compliance-related questions
