Assistant Vice president - Global Research
In This Role, You Will
- The purpose of the role is to support the Global Investment Research Direct team. The primary purpose is to leverage HSBC's research content effectively across internal departments and external clients. Global Investment Research is an independent research house. We have 290 analysts covering 1,600+ companies, 60+ economies, 45+ sovereigns’ rates and 50+ currencies globally. Our analysts, based out of 15 locations, are spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. We provide regular comment and analysis on topics including economics, currencies, fixed income, equities, data science, sustainability and digital-assets. Our goal is to generate better business outcomes for our clients and stakeholders by sharing our insights and creating thought-provoking ideas
- Client Interaction: Engaging with clients to address their queries related to research views and ensuring they have access to HSBC's insights across various asset classes and sectors.
- Collaboration: Working closely with onshore stakeholders to facilitate external client calls and webcasts, ensuring seamless delivery of HSBC Research.
- Internal Coordination: Handling requests from various internal departments to connect with Global Investment Research analysts and ensuring these requests comply with regulatory standards.
- Data Management: Maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS) related to processes and capturing relevant data for internal reporting.
- Strategic Support: Assisting with transformation and strategic projects that are significant to Commercial and Investment Banking within HSBC.
To Be Successful You Will
- Build effective relationships with line/functional managers, clients, stakeholders, vendors, and support teams.
- Produce and analyze management information for reporting requirements.
- Be a proactive and engaged team member, building relationships across multiple business levels.
- Communicate clearly and consistently, executing the role autonomously while seeking guidance when necessary.
- Document policy and process changes, ensuring they are embedded across teams.
- Manage simultaneous tasks with conflicting priorities and streamline manual processes.
- Champion operational rigor and discipline, ensuring compliance with internal controls and risk management.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to work across cultures and build strong working relationships. Understanding of strategic insights, data science, and visualization tools is advantageous
