Automation Tester - Software Quality Assurance

Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Pega applications using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Design and implement test automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Collaborate with Pega developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand application functionality and define test scenarios.
• Analyze requirements and design detailed test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Perform manual testing as needed, especially for complex workflows or new features.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases.
• Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with the development team for resolution.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices in Pega and automation testing.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
• Strong experience in Pega PRPC (Pega Platform) testing, including understanding of Pega case management and business process workflows.
• Proficient in Java programming for developing test automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Experience with Pega testing tools and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of manual and automated testing concepts, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and UI testing techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Zephyr.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  

Preferred Skills

• Certification in Pega or relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, Selenium Certification) is a plus.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is an advantage.
