Description
Role Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure software quality. Collaborate with the development team to understand system requirements and create comprehensive test plans. Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and performance of backend services. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality. Utilize Selenium WebDriver for automated UI testing across web applications. Implement and maintain test frameworks using TestNG or similar tools. Report, manage, and track defects using JIRA and other tracking tools. Execute regression, smoke, and functional testing to identify issues prior to release. Work closely with stakeholders to define testing metrics and goals. Identify and troubleshoot issues found during testing and collaborate with development teams to resolve them. Perform performance testing to ensure application reliability under load. Continuously review and improve testing processes and methodologies. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to user story refinement. Maintain documentation of test cases and results for future reference. Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in automation testing of web applications. Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured. Proficient in Java programming and software development principles. Experience working within Agile scrum teams and practices. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for integration processes. Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL. Proficient with test management tools and defect tracking in JIRA. Experience in manual testing as needed for comprehensive quality assurance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Experience with performance testing tools is a plus. Knowledge of version control systems like Git. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
