Automation Engineer

The Engineer - Automation will be responsible for the Automation testing to ensure the best quality results. The QA - Automation must design, create and execute test scripts that will be used to validate the quality of software applications. With guidance from Quality leadership, the QA will drive the testing for validating new applications, or changes to existing applications.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong experience on Selenium Web Driver

• Understands the Project Requirements

• Design, plan, and execute test plans based on QA Strategy

• Prepare test scenarios and Test cases

• Prepare Test data/Test Bed

• Prepare Automation Scripts - Selenium Scripts

• Conduct testing such as sanity, functional, Regression.

• Preparation of Test Reports from execution of Automated scripts-Selenium and Manual test Cases

• Provide Daily reports to QA Team Lead /QA Manager on the status of the above tasks.

• Perform Root cause analysis of issues reported

• Develop close working relationships with other members of the project teams (including client support, product owners, development leads, and project managers)

• Initiate new QA ideas and concepts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA Engineers.

• Provide metric based reporting of test execution, defects, and project status to key stakeholders

• Preparing Lesson Learnt documents from the previous project testing experience.

• Participate in Reviews Meetings.

• Experience in preparation of Test Plans.

• 4-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance with 3+ years of Selenium experience

• Manual testing experience, an understanding of Best Practices and principals of testing

• Experience with various testing methodologies

• Experience in testing Web-based applications (preferably Internet-based)

• Good experience with automated testing tools involving Selenium and Open Source Tools SQL query skills and understanding of database schemas.
