Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for complex, domain-driven systems. The role involves testing across UI, API, microservices, and large-scale data pipelines, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end setup and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks for complex systems with Hadoop and Oracle backends.
• Design and implement UI, API, and data-validation automation across microservices and data pipelines.
• Build, manage, and validate large test datasets, ensuring accuracy for pipelines producing millions of analytical results.
• Develop and execute automated test cases using Playwright and Cypress; leverage Selenium, Rest-Assured, TestNG, Postman/Insomnia as appropriate based on use cases.
• Define and document test objectives, strategies, and test plans aligned with business goals.
• Continuously enhance automation suites using modern design patterns, libraries, and best practices; establish and enforce coding standards and reusable utilities.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) with gating policies; manage source control using Git and enforce coverage and quality metrics across unit, functional, and integration tests.
• Perform end-to-end validation of complex data pipelines, including writing SQL queries for relational data checks, reconciling input/output data, and validating schema changes.
• Test systems across multiple protocols and platforms including SFTP, sockets, HTTPS, and RPC; incorporate security testing tools and practices.
• Work across cloud environments (PCF, AWS, Azure, GCP) to configure test infrastructure, environments, and manage secrets securely.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Experience, Data Engineering & Analytics, and UX teams to align test strategies with user needs and business outcomes.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot automation, environment, and pipeline issues; perform root-cause analysis, including insights from production, to strengthen preventive quality controls.
• Champion quality engineering best practices, contribute to testing methodologies and organizational standards, and foster a strong quality culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of overall experience with 5+ years in test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Rest-Assured, TestNG.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, data pipelines, and backend testing (Hadoop, Oracle).
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and managing code using Git.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, PCF).
• Knowledge of security testing concepts and tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
