Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Engineer with 7+ years of IT experience to join our

growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in scripting, AWS cloud automation,

and DevOps practices. You’ll work directly with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement automation

solutions that drive operational efficiency and scalability.

This role requires availability during late afternoon or evening shifts in India to align with U.S.-based clients and teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Shell, PowerShell, and Python.

• Lead infrastructure-as-code (IaC) efforts using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for automated cloud

deployments.

• Manage and scale cloud infrastructure within AWS, ensuring high availability and compliance.

• Write efficient and reliable SQL queries to support automation of data processing and reporting workflows.

• Operationalize automations to be robust, maintainable, and production-ready.

• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

• Engage directly with customers for requirement gathering, solution demos, and ongoing support.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain work transparency using tools like JIRA.

• Document automation standards, processes, and technical workflows.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of IT experience, with a strong focus on automation and scripting.

• Proficient in Shell, PowerShell, and Python scripting languages.

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud automation using Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.

• Experience in database environments with solid skills in writing complex SQL queries.

• Demonstrated ability to independently design and deploy automation solutions.

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven customer interaction skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical

stakeholders.

• Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with JIRA or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, or Prometheus
