Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Noida for an Asterisk Developer Cum Support Engineer. The role involves developing and maintaining Asterisk-based solutions, providing technical support for cloud telephony systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal system performance. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer requirements. Key Responsibilities:- • Development & Customization: o Design, develop, and customize Asterisk-based telephony applications (IVR, Call Routing, SIP Trunking, Dialplans, Conferencing, etc.). o Integrate Asterisk with APIs, databases, CRM systems, and third-party applications. • Support & Maintenance: o Provide L2/L3 support for cloud contact center customers. o Troubleshoot call flows, SIP issues, PRI/VoIP connectivity, and system errors. o Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and optimize call handling. • Deployment & Configuration: o Install, configure, and maintain Asterisk servers (Linux environment). o Implement call recording, CDR analysis, and failover setups. o Handle provisioning of VoIP/SIP endpoints, gateways, and SBCs. • Collaboration & Documentation: o Work closely with product, infrastructure, and customer success teams to deliver solutions. o Document architecture, deployment steps, and troubleshooting guides. o Suggest improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and security. Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with Asterisk / FreePBX / Dialplan scripting. • Proficiency in Linux server administration (CentOS/Ubuntu).Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, IAX, WebRTC). • Experience with PRI, SIP Trunks, DID numbers, and VoIP gateways. • Familiarity with MySQL/PostgreSQL and API-based integrations. • Understanding of networking concepts (NAT, Firewalls, QoS, TCP/UDP). • Troubleshooting skills with SIP debuggers (Wireshark, tcpdump, sngrep). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication to interact with clients during support cases. Educational Qualification • B.Tech / MCA / BCA / Equivalent with relevant experience.
