Job Description

Position Summary-

The role is responsible for supporting the design and execution of the organization’s Total Rewards strategy through effective data management, analysis, and reporting. The incumbent will ensure accuracy and consistency of compensation and benefits data, generate actionable insights for decision-making, and support annual salary reviews, variable pay planning, and benchmarking exercises. This position requires strong analytical, stakeholder management, and Excel skills, with a deep understanding of compensation and benefits principles.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for managing, analysing, and maintaining compensation and benefits data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and availability for decision-making. The incumbent will support the Total Rewards team by generating data cuts and actionable insights that contribute to compensation benchmarking, budgeting, and policy recommendations.


Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

  1. Support and implement the Total Rewards strategy to ensure competitive compensation and benefits programs and optimal utilization of the budget.
  2. Ensure all raw data is consistently up to date and error-free across systems and reports.
  3. Identify trends and patterns in compensation and benefits data to enable data-backed recommendations on pay structures, cost optimization, and policy adjustments.
  4. Collaborate with Talent Management, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and HR Shared Services (HRSS) teams for smooth operations of Total Rewards processes.

Total Rewards Operations

  1. Prepare and maintain employee compensation and benefits datasets for both regular and ad-hoc reporting.
  2. Create structured and meaningful data cuts across multiple parameters such as employee group, grade, function, location, tenure, and performance.
  3. Support annual salary review, variable pay, and benefits planning through data readiness and validation.
  4. Identify trends, variances, and outliers in pay and benefits data, providing insights and visual summaries for review.
  5. Ensure data consistency across HRMS, payroll, and compensation tools through routine checks and reconciliations.
  6. Support periodic market and competitor benchmarking to maintain competitive pay structures; coordinate with external consultants as required.
  7. Partner with the Total Rewards team on initiatives like salary benchmarking, internal equity reviews, and cost modeling.
  8. Maintain and update compensation databases, trackers, and templates with appropriate version control and documentation.
  9. Collaborate with HR and business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of compensation and benefits cycles.
  10. Assess and manage performance of external vendors (training vendors/consultants), setting quality standards, handling escalations, and supporting contract renewal decisions.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBA/B.Com. (preferably with specialization in Personnel/Human Resource Management).
  • 4–5 years of experience in HR Centres of Excellence (COE) with focus on Total Rewards.
  • Experience in HR Rewards consulting is an added advantage.
  • Consulting Background is preferred**
