Associate - FoF

Education/Experience and Skills Requirement:

• Master’s degree/MBA in strategy or finance/CFA/CA
• 2-5 years of experience in financial research and analysis, good understanding of valuation and decent knowledge of fund of funds
• Experience in managing client communications and handling projects independently
• Sound knowledge of MS-Excel to process various data sets in spreadsheets (pivots, charting, etc.) (highly desirable)
• Strong problem-solving ability and analytical thinking, borne out of extensive experience in using these skills in research and consulting environment
• Adept at synthesising information to generate insights
• Willingness to work in UK hours if the need arises
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Support to global fund of funds client’s operations teams
• Transaction booking:
• Booking and approving investment and investor transactions (calls and distribution)
• Tracking and updating investor/fund commitments
• Transaction control:
• Controlled reconciliation between client investment book of records and GP capital accounts/transaction notices
• Reviewing different categories of investors/investments
• Cross-checking commitment values with GP reports
• Downloading FX reports for contributions and distribution on cumulative on daily basis
• Entering the details and codes/IDs for different investors and investments of different admins
• Updating total commitments in an in-house tool based on the PFOF (Payment For Order Flow) reconciliation Excel sheet
• Valuations: Identifying assets and capital accounts from quarterly reports and updating the valuation of funds in an in-house tool
• Portfolio data:
• Quarterly portfolio companies’ CVP inputs
• Quarterly co-investments update from GP reports
• Checking fund files on a quarterly basis for financials, CVP inputs and exit/entry
• Regular interactions with clients and addressing their ad hoc requests
