Job Summary: This position is responsible for understanding assigned transactions for Trimont’s operating companies and ensuring that the transactions are recorded in the general ledger accurately and timely. The position reports to the Senior Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as administrator for Concur expense and invoice products, managing user access and workflows and answering questions as needed
  • Process invoices weekly and employee expense reports bi-monthly (in sync with payroll cycle)
  • Ensure all Concur integration activity is reflected accurately in the general ledger in a timely manner per the department close calendar
  • Record payroll transactions in the general ledger in a timely manner per the department close calendar; reconcile GL salary and benefit expense to ADP monthly
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end accruals for assigned accounts
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly and resolve reconciling items within 30 days
  • Provide variance analysis (month over month and versus budget) for all material assigned accounts monthly
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and process depreciation entries monthly
  • Analyzing 1099-MISC expense monthly; prepare and file Forms 1099-MISC annually,

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting
  • At least one year of related work experience that must include month-end close and account analysis
  • Disciplined attention to detail and reporting timeframes, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • NetSuite and Concur experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and independent; willing and able to take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Ability to work within a deadline driven environment
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Interpersonal communication: Requires communicating well with people at different levels, frequently sharing information with others while listening to and understanding their points of view.
  • Logical analysis: Requires thinking through and solving problems step by step, often looking beyond the obvious solution to a problem and digging deeper for the best solution.
  • Time Management: Requires the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while still meeting or exceeding agreed upon deadlines.
