Job Description

Assistant Manager – New Product Development (NPD)

📍 Location: Sector 69, Faridabad | Department: Engineering | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Ownership

    : Lead NPD projects from RFQ stage to serial production; develop and track APQP timelines and PPAP documentation.

  • Cross-functional Coordination

    : Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, QA, Procurement, and Customer teams for seamless product launches.

  • Process Planning

    : Define process flows, fixture/tooling requirements, cycle times, and ensure DFx (Design for Machining, Assembly, Cost, etc.).

  • Feasibility Studies

    : Conduct manufacturability and cost analysis for turned, milled, ground, heat-treated, surface-coated parts (steel, aluminum, brass).

  • Vendor & Tooling Management

    : Engage with suppliers for tool trials, gauges, forging dies, and surface treatment trials.

  • Customer Communication

    : Handle technical discussions, query resolutions, and documentation requirements (IRIS/IATF/AS9100 formats).

  • Technology Integration

    : Propose automation, lean manufacturing ideas, or advanced machining techniques where applicable.


🎓

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 4–7 years of experience in NPD, preferably in a precision machining or Tier-1 OEM environment.
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing processes: CNC turning/milling, grinding, plating, anodizing, heat treatment, etc.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, APQP, PPAP, and ERP systems (SAP/Microsoft Navision preferred).
  • Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Creo), and exposure to FMEA, Control Plans, and Tooling Trials.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills (MS Office, PowerPoint).
