Assistant Vice President
Principal Responsibilities
- The role holder will support Data Finance in maintaining and governing data which have been setup for Data Quality/Remediation process within Finance to support across Finance. Primary responsibilities will include.
- Develop a strong working understanding of Data Quality processes, Issue Management, and broader Data Management pillars; apply this knowledge to real-world problem-solving, not just theoretical frameworks.
- Conduct hands-on business-data analysis at both a MVP-level use cases and complex scenarios depending on priority/deliverable timelines.
- Support (where required) Governance and Data leads driving working group outcomes, hosting data forums, and managing meeting logistics including documentation and ownership of follow-up actions.
- Take ownership of stakeholder relationships, using strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage expectations, educate, resolve conflicts, and deliver results across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate strong self-management by proactively prioritizing tasks, driving deliverables independently and maintaining accountability.
- Experience in MI Reporting work with entry level ability code SQL, Python and/or Alteryx.
- Communicating with stakeholders across functions in diverse locations and establishing working relationships.
- Absorbing concepts, defining the approach, and developing processes with limited handholding & Pressure to deliver within fixed timelines in an environment of ambiguity.
Requirements
- Postgraduate/Graduate with 10-12 years of experience within Banking with some data experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills. Ability to navigate within the organization.
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data and information.
- Flexibility to work in accordance with Business requirements – this may include working outside of normal hours.
- Must be experienced in working under pressure on multiple process improvement projects.
- Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, processes, and objectives.
- Experience with using project/collaboration tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Power point.
