Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Purchase Manager to support end-to-end procurement of raw and packaging materials, especially in the agri-products category. The role involves ensuring timely availability of quality materials, building vendor relationships, and optimizing costs in line with production and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute procurement based on production forecasts.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate with QC for quality checks and compliance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support GRN process.
  • Maintain records, reports, and contracts.
  • Track agri-market price trends for cost planning.
  • Collaborate with production, finance, and stores.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Agri Business, or Commerce (PG/Diploma preferred).
  • 3–4 years’ procurement experience in agri-products/FMCG.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, grading standards, pricing, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ethical, detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive.
