Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Market Development

  • Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets for the South India region.
  • Identify new business opportunities with beverage, food, and pharma companies.
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain an updated sales pipeline and forecast revenue accurately.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.
  • Address customer issues promptly and coordinate with internal teams for solutions.

3. Channel & Distributor Management

  • Appoint, train, and manage distributors or dealers where applicable.
  • Monitor stock levels, order flow, and payment collections.
  • Support distributors with marketing materials, technical guidance, and sales support.

4. Technical & Product Support

  • Work closely with the production and R&D teams to understand product specifications, materials (HDPE, PP, Aluminum, etc.), and customization options.
  • Provide product presentations and samples to potential clients.
  • Collect customer feedback for product improvement and innovation.

5. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses.
  • Recommend pricing strategies and promotional plans to enhance competitiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in

    Mechanical / Chemical / Polymer Engineering

    or

    Business Administration

    .
  • MBA in Marketing or Sales (preferred).
  • 3–6 years of experience in B2B industrial sales

    , preferably in

    packaging, bottle cap, or plastic component manufacturing

    industries.
  • Experience dealing with bottlers, beverage companies, or packaging suppliers is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Technical understanding of packaging materials and closure systems.
  • Excellent relationship management and customer service orientation.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
