Assistant Manager – Mumbai (Full-Time)


Salary:

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager will play a key role in strengthening The Rakshin Project’s impact through strategic partnerships, effective outreach, and efficient program operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can coordinate with multiple stakeholders, manage institutional relationships, and ensure seamless execution of on-ground activities. They will serve as the bridge between internal teams and external collaborators to ensure smooth program delivery and advocacy impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with NSS units, universities, government bodies, and NGOs.


  • Support the Senior Manager in managing MoUs, partnership agreements, and follow-ups.


  • Coordinate and execute awareness campaigns, events, and project initiatives.


  • Represent The Rakshin Project at external forums, meetings, and conferences.


  • Manage training schedules, logistics, travel, and trainer allocations.


  • Maintain and update program trackers, attendance sheets, and reporting databases.


  • Liaise with finance and administrative teams to ensure budgeting, reimbursements, and compliance.


  • Support in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) through data collection and reporting.


  • Assist in preparing reports, proposals, donor documentation, and communication material.


  • Troubleshoot day-to-day operational challenges to ensure program continuity and quality delivery.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Social Work, or related fields.


  • 1–3 years of experience in partnership management, outreach, operations, or project coordination.


  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication; proposal/report writing preferred.


  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with data management tools.


  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
