Assistant Manager - Refractory

Purpose/Objective

Ensuring timely refractory maintenance at KCL complex to achieve the production targets.

Key Responsibilities of Role

KRA/Accountabilities Supporting Actions 1. Planning- Assigning tasks, managing resources and ensuring smooth operations during shift - Coordinate activities among the team members and departments to ensure that refractory maintenance should be completed on time and according to the schedule. 2. Operational Excellence- Installing refractories and anti-corrosion lining within required timelines without compromising quality and HSE norms - Implementing all preventive maintenance activities as per schedule in a shift. 3. Budgetary Controls- Monitoring & recording the refractory consumption at Shift level. - Monitor the Inventory levels and eliminate wastage 4. Compliances- Supporting operations teams in compliances related to statutes and EHS norms - Implementing safety culture through use of PPEs and safe work processes and minimizing safety incidents and eliminating accidents at working area. 5. Customer centricity- Ensuring availability of equipment within minimum turnaround time in case of breakdown of refractories - Ensuring material availability for the regular shift activity. 6. Sustainability and Systems Improvement- Implementation of good housekeeping practices in areas of operation. - Improvement activities such as kaizen, quality and suggestions for the process improvement etc. 7. People development and engagement- Monitoring manpower performance and identifying development action need for refractory application vendors. - Monitoring & training of team members to enhance technical competencies and embed a culture of safety among working team. - Embedding 5S work culture.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications-BE Ceramic- 1-3 Yrs Exp of Refractory maintenance Exp at copper or Steel Industries.
