Job Title: Assistant Manager – Purchase Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Location: Sonipat, Haryana Reports To: Purchase Manager / Supply Chain Head Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Purchase to manage procurement activities within the door manufacturing industry . The ideal candidate will have expertise in sourcing raw materials such as wood, steel, aluminum, laminates, hardware, and accessories used in door production. This role demands strong vendor management skills, negotiation acumen, and knowledge of industry-specific materials and lead times. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure raw materials and components such as timber, metal sheets, laminates, hinges, locks, handles, glass, and related hardware. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms for cost, quality, and delivery. Raise and track purchase orders (POs) using ERP systems. Coordinate with production and design teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely supply. Monitor stock levels and manage reordering to avoid production delays. Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness. Assist in developing new supplier bases for cost reduction and risk mitigation. Ensure adherence to quality standards and material specifications relevant to door manufacturing. Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams for timely inward and inspection of goods. Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational and legal requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 3–6 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the door or building materials industry. Knowledge of raw materials used in wooden/metal doors, frames, and hardware. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel. Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
