Job Title: Assistant Manager – Purchase

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Purchase with a strong background in procurement for chain restaurants or quick service restaurants (QSRs). The ideal candidate must have 2-5+ years of hands-on purchasing experience in the food service industry, with expertise in sourcing food ingredients, kitchen equipment, packaging materials, and vendor management across multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end procurement for all restaurant outlets, including food raw materials, packaging, disposables, kitchen equipment, and cleaning supplies.
  • Manage vendor selection, negotiation, contract management, and price benchmarking.
  • Ensure timely supply of materials to all branches while maintaining quality and cost control.
  • Coordinate with the operations, kitchen, and warehouse teams to align procurement with consumption needs.
  • Maintain and optimize inventory levels through effective planning and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP).
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and service levels.
  • Assist in implementing centralized purchasing processes for improved efficiency and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Hotel/Restaurant Management, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in the chain restaurant/QSR/F&B industry is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant procurement practices and perishable/non-perishable goods.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or restaurant procurement software (e.g., Petpooja, POSist, MarketMan, Zoho Inventory).
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and reporting tools).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working with multi-location restaurant chains.
  • Knowledge of cold chain logistics and vendor compliance audits.
  • Exposure to cost control strategies and central kitchen operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
