Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Process Development & Optimization

Establish, document, and maintain robust metal fabrication and assembly processes for new and existing products.
Optimize process parameters to achieve target cycle times, reduce rework/rejections, and ensure consistent product quality.
Support trials, validation runs, and new product industrialization in coordination with design and manufacturing teams.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

Diagnose and resolve issues related to welding, machining, powder coating, bending, or assembly operations.
Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and quality teams to ensure smooth production and minimal downtime.
Provide technical training and process guidance to operators, welders, and line technicians.

3. Continuous Improvement & Efficiency

Lead initiatives to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and process reliability.
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Support automation and fixture/jig development to improve ergonomics, consistency, and efficiency in metal fabrication processes.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
58 years of hands-on experience in metal fabrication/manufacturing processes (welding, machining, forming, or finishing).
Strong understanding of fabrication methods, welding processes (MIG/TIG/Spot), and surface finishing.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process validation, and data-driven problem-solving tools.
Familiarity with plant-level process monitoring systems and continuous improvement frameworks.
