Job Description

Assistant Manager – Learning & Development

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and business teams to

    assess skill requirements

    , especially in tech and product teams, and create learning solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design, implement, and track

    end-to-end learning programs

    including technical onboarding, role-based capability development, and leadership upskilling.
  • Deliver or coordinate

    training on IT systems, tools, platforms, process changes

    , and compliance, ensuring learners understand and adopt technology with confidence.
  • Drive

    digital adoption and LMS-led learning

    , ensuring courses are launched, tracked, and continuously improved through feedback and data.
  • Lead

    training needs analysis (TNA)

    across teams and convert findings into structured learning plans and content strategies.
  • Own the

    program management

    of L&D initiatives, including session design, stakeholder alignment, vendor coordination, budget usage, and outcome tracking.
  • Apply models like

    Kirkpatrick’s or ROI frameworks

    to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Create, curate, and manage a library of internal technical and behavioral learning content.
  • Mentor internal trainers, build knowledge champions, and create scalable train-the-trainer models for tech and process rollouts.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of strong L&D experience

    , preferably in

    IT services, product companies, or high-growth tech environments

    .
  • Proven capability in

    planning, implementing, and driving technical or IT tool/process-based training

    (beyond soft skills).
  • Strong understanding of

    instructional design frameworks

    (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
  • Experience in working with LMS platforms (Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Moodle, etc.).
  • Ability to

    collaborate cross-functionally

    with engineering, operations, HR, and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage

    end-to-end training lifecycles

    , from need identification to content delivery and impact measurement.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working with

    digital tools

    , performance data, and insights to influence decisions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required;

    background in HR, Business, IT, or a technical domain is a plus

    .
  • Certifications in

    L&D, Instructional Design, TTT, or Learning Analytics

    are an advantage.
  • Exposure to

    enterprise software, digital transformation, agile learning

    , or

    IT onboarding frameworks

    is desirable.
