Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - Front Office is responsible for assisting in the leadership and management of all front office operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that every guest's experience, from check-in to check-out, is seamless, personalized, and reflects the resort's core values of tranquility, hospitality, and connection with nature. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, empathetic, and detail-oriented leader who can inspire their team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining the resort’s serene and eco-conscious atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
  • Oversee and manage all front office activities, including guest registration, check-in/check-out processes, and billing.
  • Ensure all guests receive a warm and authentic welcome, providing an introduction to the resort's unique features, such as the eco-friendly design, organic gardens, and connection to the local fishing community.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with empathy, professionalism, and promptness, ensuring all issues are resolved to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement service standards that align with the CGH Earth ethos, fostering a sense of peace and belonging for every guest.
  • Operational Management:
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in daily operations, staff scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor and manage room inventory, rates, and reservations, ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue.
  • Conduct regular audits of front office procedures, including cash handling, night audits, and billing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Ayurveda & Wellness, to ensure smooth communication and a cohesive guest experience.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Motivate, train, and mentor the front office team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in guest service, problem-solving, and upselling resort amenities (e.g., Ayurveda therapies, nature walks, cultural activities).
  • Serve as a role model for ethical conduct and professional behavior, embodying the resort's values.
  • Resort & Cultural Ambassador:
  • Act as a key ambassador for the resort's "responsible tourism" philosophy.
  • Educate guests about the resort's eco-initiatives, such as the organic farm, butterfly garden, and support for the local community.
  • Share insights into the local culture and heritage, helping guests connect with the authentic way of life in Mararikulam.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the front office of a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort.
  • Strong understanding of front office operations, hotel management software (PMS), and reservation systems.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, nature, and cultural authenticity.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages, particularly Malayalam, is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
