Job Title: Manager/Assistant Manager - Finance
Industry: Construction Industry
Location: Head Office, Chennai
CTC: ₹10-15 LPA (based on performance)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Head or Assistant Manager to lead and oversee all financial, accounting, budgeting, and audit functions for our construction company based in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, taxation, and corporate governance, with a proven track record of driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capable of organizing and leading the team, coordinating with company requirements, and collaborating with peer workers.
- Lead and oversee financial planning, accounting, budgeting, and audit functions
- Develop and implement financial and operational strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Manage investor relations, fundraising, and financial risk management
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards
- Provide strategic insights, forecasts, and reports to support executive decision-making
- Drive operational efficiency and profitability through cost optimization and effective financial planning
- Consolidate and finalize balance sheet
- Handle taxation and representation before authorities
- Lead cost-saving projects and initiatives
- Manage treasury functions, including fund raising and investment
- GST knowledge and compliance, including filing and auditing
- Manage bank transfers, reconciliations, and cash flow management
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 12-15 years of experience in finance, with a focus on construction or related industry
- Proficiency in English and local language ( as per location)
- Sound knowledge of taxation, corporate governance, and financial regulations
- Proven track record of driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring compliance
- Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with financial planning and budgeting software
- Knowledge of construction industry trends and regulations
- Strong communication and investor relations skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Tally ERP
