Job Details

Job Title: Assistant Manager Operations (Transport)

Reporting To: Ares Manager

Budgeted CTC - 8 CTC ( 50K In Hand)

Job Scope: To manage operations at a transport branch comprising of planning and executing transactions. This involves vendor development, vendor management, FTL pickup, delivery, cost management, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements logistics business development strategies with the region, directly impacting objectives and business results.
  • Manages transportation business within the region to meet targets.
  • Develops new business based on existing business to improve top line and margins.
  • Makes business and managerial decisions to achieve business and financial results.
  • Maintains strong relationships with key domestic transport customers within the region.
  • Oversee operations at all sites through site managers/teams.
  • Reviews performance and costs periodically.
  • Provides senior account management leadership for major Domestic Transport service customers.
  • Liaises with authorities as required.
  • Ensures operating teams meet contractual commitments for service, cost, and reporting.
  • Reviews P&L for transport operations and works on achieving targets.
  • Oversees people processes to ensure compliance with Human Resources policies.

Experience: Minimum 4- 6 years’ experience in logistics management, with a background in customer relationship management.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
