Role Overview:

Assistant Manager – Business Development and Partnerships

 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Lead Generation:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including

    grants, funding prospects and strategic partnerships

    with donors, CSR initiatives and institutional funders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, corporates and multilateral donors.
  • Research and track potential funding sources, donor priorities and partnership opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Proposal Writing & Budgeting:

  • Lead and support the preparation of

    high-quality proposals, grant applications and Expressions of Interest (EoIs)

    for funding opportunities.
  • Develop budgets aligned with project requirements, ensuring feasibility and sustainability.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance and operations) to ensure alignment of programmatic and financial aspects in proposals.
  • Analyze donor guidelines and funding requirements to craft competitive proposals and pitches.

 

Stakeholder & Donor Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key funding partners, including

    corporate donors, foundations, bilateral/multilateral agencies and government bodies

    .
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies for donor retention and new funding opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, donor meetings and industry conferences to enhance visibility and collaboration.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, maintaining compliance with funding requirements.

 

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Support the development and implementation of

    business development plans and fundraising strategies

    .
  • Monitor industry trends, donor funding landscapes and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Assist in setting measurable targets and tracking progress toward fundraising and business development goals.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum

    3-5 years

    of experience

    in

    proposal writing, fundraising, budgeting and donor relationship management

    in the development public health (He/She should have direct experience in proposal writing in the health and development sector)
  • Strong understanding of

    CSR funding, donor engagement and partnership-building strategies

    .
  • Experience in handling donor negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven track record of securing grants, funding and partnerships from national and international agencies.
  • Knowledge of digital learning solutions is an advantage.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Proposal writing & budgeting

    – Strong ability to develop compelling proposals and accurate budgets.
  • Strategic planning

    – Capacity to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
  • Lead generation & donor relations

    – Experience in identifying funding opportunities and managing donor expectations.
  • Stakeholder engagement

    – Ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse partners, including corporates, foundations and government agencies.
  • Strong communication skills

    – Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas concisely.
  • Proficiency in MS Office

    – Particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Self-motivated & proactive

    – Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English

    – Both written and spoken.

 

Compensation:

The salary and designation will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
