Job Description

Assistant General Manager – Job Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all hotel departments to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to brand standards.
  • Support the General Manager in implementing operational strategies for efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Sales) work cohesively to achieve common goals.

2. Guest Experience Management

  • Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring prompt service recovery and consistent quality standards.
  • Review guest feedback and coordinate with department heads to implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure staff are trained and motivated to deliver exceptional service experiences.

3. Financial & Business Performance

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasting revenue, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (RevPAR, ADR, GOP, occupancy) to optimize profitability.
  • Control operational expenses while maintaining service quality and efficiency.

4. Staff Management & Training

  • Supervise, guide, and motivate department heads and team members to achieve excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assist in staff training and development programs.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture that aligns with the hotel’s values and mission.

5. Sales & Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to increase market share and strengthen brand presence.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, corporate tie-ups, and promotional activities.
  • Support in building long-term relationships with key clients and travel partners.

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor property maintenance and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain records and ensure timely audits of operational procedures and safety systems.

7. Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Assist the General Manager in setting goals, reviewing operational strategies, and executing business plans.
  • Generate and analyze operational reports to recommend improvements.
  • Act as the General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless management continuity.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 per year
