This position serves as the primary operational resource to support Vertiv operated Data Centers. This position will provide service operation support for the overall ‘hands-on’ management of the Electrical, (M&E) and across Vertiv’s portfolio of Data Centers in India. This position will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the critical infrastructure supporting IT operations. It will also include event management, incident management, problem management, change management, and cost/contract management. In addition, this will include the relationship management with the landlords, critical facility vendors, Data Center Construction team, Data Center Operations team, Technical Program Managers, Security team, and Logistics team in India. The position will require 24x7 on-call, scheduled weekend work support. Technical Lead Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct interviews, hire and train new technical support staff.Provide guidance and insight to upper management and procure buy-inReport progress, including any changes made to plans and productionContribute to product design and establishment of requirementsDelegate technical responsibilities and monitor the progress of projectsDeliver products consistently, on time, and on budgetOversee user testing and report results—adjust requirements as neededWork closely with project manager during all phases of the development lifecycleReview all work produced by the development teamEnsure code produced meets company standards
Basic Qualifications
-  Minimum 10+ years’ experience for Diploma & for degree Min. 05+ years, out of his experience he should have relevant experience of at least 03+ years of Data Center operations & facilities Management.
-  An Diploma / Graduate Degree in a technical field (Electrical Engg.).
-  An excellent understanding on the nature of mission critical systems (Data Centers, Hospitals, Power plants, facilities, etc.).
-  The candidate needs to be a self-starter and independent worker.
-  Ability to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
-  Previous vendor negotiation and management skills for Data Center and/or upgrade construction contracts.
-  Ability to write and review accurate and complete support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries.
-  Shows good judgment and instincts in decision making under pressure.
-  Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
-  Proactively and continually improve his/her level of knowledge about Vertiv’s business and relevant technologies.
-  Able to demonstrate his/her ability to take ownership of technical issues brought to him/her by his/her customer base. If the candidate is unable to resolve certain issues by themselves, he/she should demonstrate a willingness to actively engage other support teams to drive it to resolution.
