Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Revenue Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for ventilators and neonatal equipment
  • Drive unit-wise achievement (ventilators, warmers, incubators, transport devices).
  • Grow business from private hospitals, corporate chains, and nursing homes.
  • Identify and convert high-potential accounts with structured follow-up.

B. Territory & Account Management

  • Build strong presence across private hospitals, corporate healthcare groups, and large nursing homes.
  • Maintain an updated database of decision-makers (ICU heads, intensivists, neonatologists, anesthetists, procurement managers, and biomedical engineers).
  • Conduct regular hospital visits and strategic account planning.

C. Relationship Building & Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

  • Build strong relationships with ICU consultants, neonatologists, biomedical teams, and hospital management.
  • Conduct product demos, presentations, and clinical discussions to support decision-making.
  • Engage with KOLs to improve brand visibility and product adoption.

D. Dealer & Channel Partner Management

  • Manage distributors and channel partners to maximize coverage and sales.
  • Conduct regular training programs and joint sales visits.
  • Review dealer performance and ensure they meet assigned targets.

E. Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Support Coordination

  • Coordinate product demonstrations and trials with clinical teams.
  • Liaise with service engineers for timely installations and after-sales support.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and quick resolution of issues.

F. Reporting & Compliance

  • Submit daily sales reports, weekly visit plans, and monthly business review (MBR).
  • Maintain CRM entries, sales funnel updates, and competitor activity logs.
  • Follow company policies for travel, expenses, documentation, and reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in medical device sales within private & corporate hospital sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust with doctors, intensivists, and hospital procurement.
  • Strong planning and funnel management abilities.
  • Good understanding of hospital purchasing processes.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and structured reporting.
