Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer with 1-5 years of experience in 3D design using SolidWorks, you will be responsible for developing 3D models, preparing detailed assembly and part drawings, and technical and production drawings. Your role will also involve coordinating with various teams such as production, Research and Development, Customer Service, and marketing for any drawing changes. In addition, you will be expected to prepare Bill of Material (BOM) for production purposes, execute prototypes based on design specifications, and maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, drawings, and change orders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. You will also investigate opportunities for improvement in existing projects or products and work closely with the Production team to execute designs for Metal Fabrication Laser Cutting Machine, CNC Bending Machine, and CNC Lathe machine. Furthermore, you will consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, provide design specifications, and offer physical assistance when required. Key Responsibilities: - Develop 3D models and prepare detailed assembly and part drawings using SolidWorks - Coordinate with production, Research and Development team, Customer Service, and marketing team for any changes in drawing - Prepare Bill of Material (BOM) for production purposes - Execute prototypes based on design specifications - Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, drawings, and change orders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards - Investigate opportunities for improvement in existing projects or products - Work with Production team to execute designs for Metal Fabrication Laser Cutting Machine, CNC Bending Machine, and CNC Lathe machine - Consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications and providing physical assistance when required Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field - 1-5 years of experience in 3D design with SolidWorks, preferably in medical device design - Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and detailed assembly/part drawings - Familiarity with AutoCAD and 2D drawing techniques - Strong knowledge of limits, fits, tolerances, and welding symbols - Experience with CNC machining, including fiber laser cutting, CNC metal bending, and CNC lathe operation is preferred,
