Job Description

  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets (value and volume) for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement territory business plans, including distributor coverage, retailer saturation, and consumer outreach campaigns.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard and develop channel partners (distributors, dealers, retailers, electricians and installers).
  • Train channel partners on product features, selling points, margin structures, demo procedures and after-sales/warranty processes.
  • Manage regular distributor reviews (sales performance, stock levels, aging, return rates) and ensure minimum stock norms are maintained.
  • Drive secondary sales through channel incentives, schemes, and field promotions; collaborate with marketing on promotional material and demos.
  • Build and maintain relationships with large accounts (wholesalers, project clients, electrical contractors, builders) to secure bulk orders.
  • Coordinate with service & operations teams to ensure timely warranty support, replacement and technical escalation handling in the territory.
  • Conduct market intelligence: competitor activity, pricing, lost-win analysis, and product/feature feedback to inform product and pricing decisions.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, piping reports, and weekly/monthly activity reports in CRM/Excel.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and local industry forums when required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Graduate; B.Tech / MBA (Marketing) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certifications in sales/channel management are a plus.

Experience

  • 3–7 years of field sales experience in battery, inverter, UPS, electrical goods, or allied industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing channel partners, distributors and retail networks.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and growing territory revenue.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong B2B & B2C channel sales skills and distributor management capability.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Good product understanding of batteries (lead-acid, tubular, maintenance-free), inverters and power backup solutions — ability to explain technical specs to non-technical buyers.
  • Analytical mindset: ability to create and track territory P&L, sales funnel and inventory metrics.
  • Basic CRM skills and MS Excel (sales reports, pivots, basic forecasts).
  • Self-motivated, target-driven with high ownership and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in the field.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly/Quarterly Sales vs Target (value & units).
  • Distributor & Retailer Coverage (number of active partners vs plan).
  • Stock Turn & Days of Inventory at distributor level.
  • Secondary Sales Growth and Rate of New Account Acquisition.
  • Collection & Credit Days (if ASM handles credit follow-up).
  • Service & Warranty SLA compliance for territory escalations.

Travel & Mobility

  • Frequent travel within assigned territory (daily/weekly). Candidate must have a valid driver’s license; own two-wheeler or car preferred.

Pay: ₹15,813.66 - ₹30,000.00 per month
