Role Overview

Senior Android Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimize the

  Bullet Android app

  with a focus on

  scalable, smooth video playback

  (ExoPlayer, DRM, caching).
• Implement and maintain

  AppSync (GraphQL) integrations

  for real-time data flows, content sync, and personalized feeds.
• Collaborate with product and design to build

  intuitive, fast, and reliable user experiences

  .
• Work closely with backend teams to design

  secure, efficient APIs and GraphQL schemas

  .
• Lead debugging and performance tuning across

  video, networking, and storage layers

  .
• Mentor junior developers, enforce

  clean code standards, testing, and CI/CD best practices

  .
• Stay ahead of

  Android ecosystem updates, Jetpack enhancements, and video tech trends

  .

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional Android development experience

  , with strong expertise in

  Kotlin

  .
• Proven track record in

  video app development

  – deep experience with

  ExoPlayer, adaptive streaming (HLS/DASH), DRM, offline playback, and caching

  .
• Strong experience with

  AWS AppSync/GraphQL

  for real-time APIs and offline data sync.
• Familiarity with

  Jetpack components

  (Compose, Navigation, WorkManager, Room).
• Strong understanding of

  app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture)

  .
• Experience with

  analytics, crash reporting (Firebase, Crashlytics), and CI/CD pipelines

  .
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to

  debug complex video and networking issues

  .

Bonus Points

• Prior work in

  OTT/video-first apps

  or

  consumer-scale mobile products

  .
• Experience with

  Web3 wallets, token-based systems, or gamification features

  .
• Exposure to

  performance marketing tools and A/B testing frameworks

  .
• Contributions to

  open-source Android or video player projects

  .
