Role Overview:

AI/ML Engineer

• An

  AI Plan of Action (POA)

  for internal productivity, workflow automation and decision intelligence
• An

  AI roadmap for our app

  , including personalized recommendations, financial behavior models, conversational AI, and GenAI-led user experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, can build from zero-to-one, and enjoys solving meaningful problems through data and intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic:

• Develop the

  AI strategy and execution roadmap

  for LXME across internal tools, data automation, and product features.
• Identify high-impact AI/ML opportunities aligned with business and user needs.
• Collaborate with Leadership, Product, Engineering, Data, and CX teams to define priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Own the research, evaluation, and integration of relevant AI and GenAI technologies.

Technical:

• Build, train, fine-tune and deploy

  ML models

  , predictive models, recommendation systems and NLP solutions.
• Design data pipelines and infrastructure required for model development and monitoring.
• Implement AI-powered automation solutions for internal workflows.
• Develop and integrate GenAI-driven experiences (chat, summarization, insights, voice).
• Collaborate with backend teams for API deployment and scaling.
• Establish model evaluation metrics, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement processes.

Operational:

• Draft AI documentation, model governance, risk controls and compliance alignment.
• Work with partners/vendors when required to accelerate deployment.
• Mentor internal teams on AI capabilities and responsible AI usage.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in

  Machine Learning, NLP, Generative AI, and data engineering pipelines

  .
• Proven experience deploying ML models into production.
• Strong proficiency in

  Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, NLP frameworks, LLM fine-tuning, vector DBs and RAG pipelines

  .
• Experience with cloud platforms (

  AWS preferred

  ).
• Understanding of data security, responsible AI best practices, bias & model governance.
• Ability to convert business problems into technical AI solutions.
• Startup mindset - comfortable with ambiguity, experimentation and rapid iteration.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in fintech, risk modeling, behavioural analytics, or recommendation systems.
• Experience integrating LLMs into consumer-facing apps.
• Exposure to DevOps / MLOps frameworks.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and model alignment.
• Candidates who have worked in Startups are Preferred
