AI/ML Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer with 2-5 years of industry experience specializing in AI, MLOps, Azure cloud computing, and Python to collaborate with our team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The candidate will develop, implement, and deploy advanced AI-driven solutions, including deep learning, neural networks, GenAI based Agentic Assistant and applications, natural language processing (NLP), and advanced analytics tailored specifically to the refining and petrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy AI/ML solutions at scale on cloud-based platforms
• Select and implement appropriate AI/ML algorithms, advanced GenAI models and tools
• Develop and manage AI applications utilizing agentic AI frameworks
• Train, evaluate, monitor and maintain ML models
• Improve service reliability, observability, develop UI and APIs to improve user experience
• Collaborate with other engineers, data scientists, and business users to build and maintain our AI/ML infrastructure
• Regularly update and leverage industry trends and advancements in AI, ML, and GenAI technologies.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering roles
• Robust understanding of machine learning and deep learning methodologies, including training, inferencing, and performance monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in SQL Database Design and Advanced Queries
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or a similar language
• Solid expertise with machine learning libraries (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, Scipy, Seaborn, NLTK, Flask, Django) and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Langchain, Langgraph).
• Good experience in PySpark/ Apache Spark to handle Big data
• Established track record working with AI/MLOps, accelerated solutions in cloud computing environments including AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with virtualization and cluster management tools, including Docker/Containers, Kubernetes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a wide-ranging environment
• Clear written and oral communication skills with a strong desire to share knowledge with business users, partners, and co-workers

Nice-to-Have

• Strong coding and debugging skills, including experience with Python, R
• Proven expertise through projects or Open Source contributions in cloud-based workloads, Kubernetes, or other related areas
• Strong background and expertise in agentic GenAI frameworks and applications development.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with AI-specific deployment frameworks, tools, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
