Job Description – AI Engineer / AI Strategist

Location: You will work in Manama, Bahrain
Reporting to: Group Head of IT (CIO) / Photon Software Management
Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• AI Strategy & Roadmap
• Work with CIO and leadership to define YKA’s AI adoption strategy across business units.
• Identify high-impact AI use cases (customer experience, ERP automation, financial analytics, predictive maintenance, HR digitalization).
• Develop a 2–3 year AI maturity roadmap.
• Solution Development & Integration
• Build and deploy AI-powered pilots (chatbots, virtual agents, recommendation systems, document automation).
• Integrate AI solutions with existing enterprise systems: Oracle EBS, Autoline Rev8 DMS, Power BI, loyalty platform, Shopify apps.
• Leverage APIs, data lakes, and cloud AI services (Azure AI, OpenAI, AWS AI).
• Data Engineering & Analytics
• Design data pipelines for structured/unstructured data.
• Enhance Power BI dashboards with AI/ML-driven insights and natural language queries.
• Apply predictive modeling for sales, inventory, and service.
• Collaboration & Enablement
• Work with IT, Finance, HR, and Customer Service teams to deliver AI-driven efficiencies.
• Mentor IT staff on AI/ML concepts to build internal capability.
• Evaluate vendors and AI partners for long-term collaboration.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Skills
• Strong in Python, TensorFlow / PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain.
• Hands-on with LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Azure OpenAI).
• Experience integrating AI with ERP/CRM or business apps (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Autoline, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of SQL, APIs, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Business & Strategy Skills
• Prior experience in digital transformation / AI roadmap design.
• Ability to translate business problems into AI solutions with measurable ROI.
• Familiar with data governance, security, and compliance in enterprise setups.
• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in enterprise projects.
• Prior GCC or diversified group experience is a plus.
