Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Consultant / Business Analyst to lead the strategic planning, technical execution, and business alignment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives both within Qatar and globally. This role bridges the gap between technical AI system implementation and business transformation, requiring a seasoned professional with a minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, infrastructure architecture, and AI/ML integration, along with strong consulting and stakeholder management skills. 

As a key member of the AI Strategy & Implementation team, you will work at the intersection of business goals and advanced technical architectures, helping organizations identify AI-driven opportunities, define data strategies, and implement scalable AI solutions. This is a client-facing position that requires international travel, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a business-oriented manner. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Consulting & Business Analysis

• Lead end-to-end AI opportunity assessments, aligning use cases with enterprise-level objectives. 
• Collaborate with senior business leaders to translate strategic goals into actionable technical roadmaps. 
• Conduct gap analysis between current capabilities and desired future states to shape AI adoption strategy. 

Technical Design & Implementation

• Architect and deploy cloud-native data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing, ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance. 
• Design and maintain AI infrastructure, including containerized environments, data lakes, model repositories, and orchestration tools. 
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps teams to ensure seamless integration of AI/ML models into operational systems. 

Data Engineering & Governance

• Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data stack tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt). 
• Enforce data governance, lineage tracking, and quality standards to ensure trustworthy AI outputs. 
• Optimize data workflows and storage across cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. 

AI Model Deployment & Lifecycle Management

• Assist in model operationalization using platforms like SageMaker, Azure ML, or Vertex AI. 
• Define monitoring, drift detection, and retraining strategies to maintain AI system performance over time. 
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for AI applications. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Conduct stakeholder workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and solution presentations. 
• Serve as a liaison between business units, data teams, and executive leadership to ensure cross-functional alignment. 
• Deliver compelling technical documentation, business cases, and performance reports to diverse audiences. 

International Collaboration & Delivery

• Travel as needed to support client engagements, system rollouts, and capability-building initiatives across various countries. 
• Foster collaboration across multicultural and interdisciplinary teams. 
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and thought leadership on AI strategy and innovation. 

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A master’s degree is highly preferred. 
• 12+ years of professional experience, including: 
• 5+ years in AI/ML systems implementation 
• 7+ years in data engineering, infrastructure, or cloud architecture roles 
• Proven record of consulting or client-facing solution delivery 

Technical Proficiency:

• Data Warehousing: Expertise with platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery 
• Cloud Platforms: Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) 
• ML Frameworks: Strong understanding of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn 
• Languages & Tools: Proficient in Python, SQL; experience with Shell, Bash, or other scripting languages is a plus 
• Orchestration & Containers: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, or similar technologies 
• Data Governance: Understanding of privacy regulations, metadata management, and quality frameworks 

Soft Skills & Business Acumen:

• Strong ability to explain technical solutions in non-technical terms to C-level stakeholders. 
• Proven leadership in cross-functional team environments and international contexts. 
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. 
• Strategic mindset with a consultative approach to complex problem solving. 

Travel Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally (up to 30–40%) to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement. 

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP cloud architecture or ML specialization 
• Experience with MLOps practices and tooling 
• Background in AI Ethics, Responsible AI, or data privacy frameworks
